MY APPROACH
Calm, grounded,
and deeply relational
Many people come to counselling feeling emotionally exhausted, overwhelmed, or unsure where to begin. I aim to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and accepted without judgement.
You are the expert in your own life
I work from a strengths-based, person-centred approach. My role is to walk alongside you — helping you make sense of what you're experiencing, while supporting you to reconnect with yourself, your values, and your goals.
I integrate evidence-based approaches — including CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and person-centred support — to gently support emotional regulation, self-awareness, communication, and navigating change.

THE APPROACHES I DRAW FROM
I tailor how we work to you — never the other way around. These are some of the evidence-based approaches I may bring in.
Person-centred counselling support
At the centre of my work is the belief that counselling should feel safe, supportive, and human. Healing and change happen through feeling heard, emotionally supported, and understood.
I aim to provide a space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and experiences openly — while feeling grounded, respected, and gently supported throughout.
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
DBT combines emotional regulation, mindfulness, distress tolerance, and interpersonal skills, balancing acceptance and change.
I use DBT-informed strategies to support women through grief, burnout, identity loss, and relationship strain — exploring emotional reactivity, boundaries, and self-criticism, so you can feel more grounded, balanced, and connected within yourself.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) combines practical strategies with an understanding of the connection between our thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. It helps clients identify unhelpful thinking patterns, develop healthier coping skills, and create meaningful change in the way they respond to life's challenges.
I may draw on CBT for grief, burnout, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, relationship difficulties, identity loss, and major life transitions — gently exploring patterns such as self-criticism, perfectionism, overthinking, worry, or people-pleasing, while helping clients build confidence, emotional resilience, self-awareness, and more balanced ways of thinking and responding.
Motivational Interviewing (MI)
MI is a gentle, collaborative approach that helps you reconnect with your strengths and feel more confident about meaningful change — never telling you what you should do.
Through warm, reflective conversations, I offer a non-judgemental space to explore your emotions, reconnect with your values, and gain clarity about what you need — at a pace that feels comfortable and manageable.
